You need to remove the files from the original folder on your computer. Spotify will stop showing them after that.
Uncheck the folders or sources under 'Local Files' in Spotify's settings. Boom! No more local files showing up in your Spotify.
Just go to 'Edit' > 'Preferences' (or 'Spotify' > 'Preferences' on Mac), scroll to 'Local Files', and turn off the sources you wish to delete. Done!
