In Messenger, click the three dots next to the conversation, select 'Delete,' and confirm. Both sides won't see it any longer!
Hot take: You can't actually delete messages permanently. Just pretend they were never sent and move on!
I've done this a ton! Just open the chat, press the message, and then select 'Remove for Everyone.' Problem solved!
