You can't directly delete a PlayStation Plus account, but you can cancel the subscription through your account settings. Just go to Settings > Account Management > Account Information > PlayStation Subscriptions, then choose the subscription you want to cancel.

As someone who did this last year, you can't delete it per se. Instead, I cancelled my PS Plus subscription and stopped using the account. Problem solved!

Just stop renewing your PS Plus subscription! Let it expire and voila, no more PS Plus. Simple as that.
