If you're on the app, open the chat with the person you want to remove, tap their name, scroll down, and select 'Block'. They'll be outta there in no time!
You actually can't entirely delete people from Messenger but can archive the chat or block them.
Use the 'Unfriend' option on their Facebook profile. Once they're not friends anymore, they disappear from Messenger.
