If you're looking to reset your PS3 to factory settings, just go to Settings > System Settings > Restore PS3 System. This will wipe everything, so say goodbye to all your saved games and data!

Easiest way to 'delete' your PS3 is to sell it! More seriously, if you want to wipe it clean, go to Settings and find the 'Restore PS3 System' option. Poof, like magic.
