First off, you gotta dive into the game's local files. Right-click the game in your Steam Library, head to 'Properties,' then click on 'Local Files,' and there should be an option to 'Browse Local Files.' From there, it's a treasure hunt! Find the save files—sometimes they're in folders named 'save' or 'savedata' or something similar—and delete away. Just remember, this is the point of no return; those files won't come back unless you've backed them up somewhere else.

Shortcut alert: Some games let you delete save data right from within the game's menu. So, before you go file hunting, check the game's options or settings menu. It might just save you some time!

I've tried just deleting files manually, and let me tell you, it's hit or miss. Some games store save data in the cloud, so even if you delete the local files, your progress might still be there when you boot up again. Always double-check the game's cloud saving options in Steam settings.

Honestly, just delete the game. It's the nuclear option, but it works if all else fails. Just be ready to redownload it if you wanna start fresh.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
