How to delete save data on Steam
AttendingStoke·7 months agoFirst off, you gotta dive into the game's local files. Right-click the game in your Steam Library, head to 'Properties,' then click on 'Local Files,' and there should be an option to 'Browse Local Files.' From there, it's a treasure hunt! Find the save files—sometimes they're in folders named 'save' or 'savedata' or something similar—and delete away. Just remember, this is the point of no return; those files won't come back unless you've backed them up somewhere else.

Shortcut alert: Some games let you delete save data right from within the game's menu. So, before you go file hunting, check the game's options or settings menu. It might just save you some time!
I've tried just deleting files manually, and let me tell you, it's hit or miss. Some games store save data in the cloud, so even if you delete the local files, your progress might still be there when you boot up again. Always double-check the game's cloud saving options in Steam settings.
Honestly, just delete the game. It's the nuclear option, but it works if all else fails. Just be ready to redownload it if you wanna start fresh.
