For Mac users, head over to '~/Library/Application Support/Subnautica/Subnautica/SavedGames'. From there, just delete the 'CellCache' and 'CompiledOctreesCache' folders. Restart the game and enjoy smoother seas!

Deleting the cache can fix some bugs, but be careful not to touch your saved games! Just stick to the 'CellCache' and 'CompiledOctreesCache' folders.
