Unfortunately, you can't directly delete the chat history in Words with Friends. However, you can delete the entire game with a friend, which will also remove chat history. Start a new game, and voilà, fresh chat slate!

Here's what worked for me: Finish the game and don't start a new one. The chat history will eventually disappear as the game moves further down your list.

Hot take: Just ignore the chat! Life's too short to worry about deleting messages in a word game. Focus on finding that triple word score instead!

You can't delete individual chat messages in Words with Friends, but you can end the game and start a new one if you want a clean slate.

If you're a Words with Friends player looking for extra coins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Words with Friends essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
