To turn off friend suggestions on Facebook, navigate to your Facebook settings and look for notifications. Under 'People you may know', turn off notifications. Easy peasy!
Just go to your Facebook settings, click on notifications, and find the 'People You May Know' section. Then just switch it off!
I managed to reduce those suggestions by adjusting my privacy settings and limiting who can see my profile and friend list. Not a complete fix, but it helped!
