How to Disable Friend Requests on Facebook
You can't really 'disable' friend requests, but you can make your profile less discoverable. Go to Settings, then Privacy, and under 'How People Find and Contact You', change 'Who can send you friend requests?' to 'Friends of friends'.

Blocking individual users can stop them from sending requests, but you're outta luck if you're looking for a true disable option.
I've tried! Best thing is tailoring your privacy settings for a quieter experience on your friend requests.
