Easy peasy! Just hit Settings & Privacy > Settings > Privacy > Who can send you friend requests? and pick 'Friends of friends'.
Just change 'Who can send you friend requests?' to 'Friends of friends' in your Privacy settings. Boom, done!
Honestly, you can't fully disable friend requests, but limiting them to 'Friends of friends' is the closest you'll get.
