Head over to the settings cog in the upper-right corner, click on it, then go to 'Privacy' and set 'Who can send me friend requests?' to 'No one'. Bam, problem solved!

Just turn off friend requests in privacy settings.

Go to settings > Privacy > 'Who can send me friend requests?' and set it to 'No one'. It's as easy as a few clicks!
