You can't disable HDCP on the PS3 directly without using a splitter or some kind of external hardware. It's hardwired into the console for copyright protection.

Unfortunately, the PS3 doesn't offer a way to turn off HDCP natively. You might need to look into other solutions like capture cards that bypass it.

Honestly, you鈥檙e out of luck. The PS3 doesn鈥檛 have a built-in option to disable HDCP. A splitter is your best bet.

From personal experience, I found that using specific capture cards can help bypass HDCP on the PS3. But it's still an external solution.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
