Unfortunately, there isn't an option to outright disable Instagram Reels, but you can limit your exposure by blocking accounts that post them often. Not the perfect fix, but it helps!
Just unfollow accounts that mainly post Reels and train the algorithm. It's like digital conditioning. Soon your feed will be mostly Reels-free!
Hot take: If Reels bother you that much, consider using Instagram less or switch to another platform that suits your needs better. Problem solved!
