It's easy, just turn off 'Read Receipts' in the Privacy settings.
Why would you want to? But yeah, Settings > Account > Privacy > Read Receipts... toggle that off.
To turn off read receipts, open WhatsApp, tap on the three dots, go to Settings > Account > Privacy, then uncheck 'Read Receipts'.
