To disable your Steam Controller, simply open up Steam, go to 'Settings' > 'Controller' > 'General Controller Settings' and uncheck the box for 'Steam Configuration Support' for your controller type. This will stop Steam from recognizing your controller. Easy peasy!

Just unplug it. Seriously, if you're not using it, just disconnect the controller from your PC. Steam won't pick it up if it's not connected.

If you're trying to avoid accidental inputs, you can also go into the Big Picture mode, navigate to 'Controller Settings', and from there, you can manage or disable controllers individually.

Honestly, why disable it? The Steam Controller is an integral part of the gaming experience on Steam. Embrace it!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
