If you’re playing a specific game and don’t want chat, try typing /mute or /mute all in the chat window. It really works in some games!

You can also disable chat by accessing the 'Security' tab within settings and turning off 'Contact Settings'.

Honestly, just slap that chat window closed using the small 'x' on the top right of it. Problem solved!
