You鈥檒l need a Torx screwdriver, patience, and a steady hand. Start by removing the screws on the outer shell, then carefully lift off the top. Unplug the cables from the motherboard and take it out. Remember, slow and steady wins the race!
I've done it! Unplug your PS3, take off the warranty sticker, and remove the screws underneath. Lift the top cover, then gently disconnect the cables. Remove the power supply, then the Blu-ray drive, and finally the motherboard. Just take your time and keep track of the screws!
Why would you wanna do that? Leave it to the pros unless you're ready to risk it all.
First, unplug everything. Next, remove the hard drive and the top cover by unscrewing all the screws in sight. Be gentle with the ribbon cables and connectors, they can be fragile. Finally, take out the power supply, Blu-ray drive, and motherboard. Congrats, you鈥檝e just dissected your PS3!
