First, make sure you have a T8 Torx screwdriver. Start by removing the battery cover and any batteries. Next, gently pry off the grips on both sides using a flat tool. You'll find a screw hidden under the barcode sticker inside the battery compartment. Remove this, and then the remaining screws on the back. Carefully separate the front and back halves. Voila!

Just use a T8 Torx screwdriver, no magic here. Remove the grips and back screws, then pry it apart. Easy peasy!

I've done this a few times. Remove the battery and pry off the grips with a spudger or flat tool. Use a T8 Torx screwdriver to remove the screws under the grips and inside the battery compartment. Gently pull the controller apart.

I suggest taking it to a professional if you鈥檙e not familiar with disassembling electronics. It could save you some headaches and a busted controller.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
