Just pull the plug, lol. If it's wireless, turn it off or disconnect through your computer's Bluetooth. Steam can't keep it if your PC doesn't see it.

Disconnecting a controller from Steam is super easy! Just open Steam, go to 'Settings' > 'Controller' > 'General Controller Settings' and uncheck the box next to the controller you want to disconnect. If it's connected via Bluetooth to your PC, you might also need to disconnect it from your computer's Bluetooth settings. Happy gaming without accidental button presses!

Had the same issue last week! Went into Steam's settings like mentioned, but also had to forget the device in my Bluetooth settings. Worked like a charm!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
