Just hold the Xbox button on the controller until the menu pops up, then select ‘Turn off controller.’ This will also disconnect the headset!

If your headset is wireless, just turn it off manually. For wired, simply unplug it from the controller. Easy peasy!

If it's a wired headset, just pull the plug out of the controller. For wireless, turn off the headset or remove its batteries.
