I just did this – head to Settings > Your Facebook Information > Deactivation and Deletion – then select whichever option suits your needs!
You don't need to disconnect! Facebook has so many cool features, just give it another shot!
Go to Facebook settings, select 'Account Ownership and Control,' and then 'Deactivation and Deletion.' Pick 'Deactivate Account' for temporary or 'Delete Account' for permanent disconnection!
