Can't you just jump off? Kidding, don't do that. Press the dismount button carefully to avoid any... unintended detours to the hospital wing.
Had a funny moment where I forgot how to dismount and ended up circling around the Quidditch pitch like a lost snitch. So here's the deal: pressing 'B' on Xbox (or the equivalent on other platforms) while not moving too fast will safely get you back on your feet. Works every time.
