Just run. Seriously, why bother with bees when you can outrun them? Keep your stamina up and sprint. Works every time.
Using the environmental hazards to your advantage is key. Lead the bees into steam vents or other hazards. Watching those bugs get taken out by the very place they're supposed to dominate is pretty satisfying.
