How to Do a Hot Wheels Wheel Swap
CarryingMonte路7 months agoFirst things first, you'll need a drill and a 1/16 drill bit. Carefully drill out the rivets on the bottom of the Hot Wheels car. You should do this with a steady hand to avoid damaging the car. Once you've got the car open, gently remove the base and take out the original wheels and axle. Then, choose your new wheels (make sure they're compatible) and slide them onto the existing axles or new axles if necessary. Pop the base back on and if you're not into riveting it back, a dab of super glue should do the trick. Voila! New wheels on your Hot Wheels!

Honestly, unless you're really into customizing, swapping wheels on a Hot Wheels car seems like a lot of effort. Plus, you risk ruining the car if you don't do it right.
Did my first wheel swap last month, and it was a game-changer for my display collection! My tip: use wheels from the same era or series for the best fit. Also, patience is key. It takes a steady hand, but it's totally worth it for that custom look.
