FYI, you need to be super close to your opponent. Grab them with forward and punch, or back and punch. It’s all about timing!

Pressing punch while near your opponent works. Trust me, I main Zangief and he lives for grabs!

To do a grab in Street Fighter 2, just get close to your opponent and press both the medium punch and medium kick buttons. Simple as that!
