To play multiplayer in Animal Crossing on a single Switch, you first need to have multiple players set up as residents on the island. Each player needs to have their own user account on the Switch. Then, when one player is playing, they can open the NookPhone in-game, select the Call Resident app, and choose who they want to join the game in local co-op. Up to 4 players can play together this way on the same screen!

Actually, single Switch multiplayer in Animal Crossing is overrated. Stick to online play if you can; the screen gets too crowded with more than two people.

Just hand a Joy-Con to your buddy! With one Switch, Animal Crossing allows up to 4 people to play at the same time on the same screen. Make sure everyone has their own account and character on the island, then with a quick visit to the NookPhone's Call Resident app, you're all set for some co-op fun.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
