So, here's the scoop: Animal Crossing doesn't actually have a traditional 'split screen' feature like you might find in other games. Instead, it has a sort of 'couch co-op' where up to 4 players can play together on the same console and screen. One person is the leader, and the others are followers, but you can switch who's in charge easily. Just grab a couple of Joy-Cons, and you're good to dive into your island paradise together!

Animal Crossing doesn't support split screen. Period. You can play on the same screen with friends, but it's not split; everyone shares the same view.

Tried playing with my sister, and nope, no split screen. But playing together on the same screen turned out to be pretty fun, actually. We had to collaborate and take turns leading, which was a cool way to play.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
