For most games, you just need a second controller! Have the second player press the PS button and log in with a profile or as a guest. Then, in the game menu, select split screen or multiplayer mode, and voilà, you're good to go!
Just connect a second controller, select the split screen option in the game menu, and enjoy the chaos! Works great in games like Minecraft and Rocket League!
Not all games support split screen. Make sure the game you're trying to play has that feature, else you might be outta luck.
