In Super Mario Sunshine, Mario doesn’t have a traditional double jump like in some other games. Instead, you can chain a regular jump with a spin jump or use FLUDD’s hover nozzle for extra height!

From personal experience, mastering the spin jump or turbo nozzle will get you the height you need, no double jump necessary!
