Don't bother with double sleeving, it's overkill. Just get one set of good quality sleeves and you're golden. Your cards will be protected well enough.
Double sleeving is a must for any serious collector or player. I've been double sleeving my cards since I started playing and not a single one has a scratch. Perfect fit sleeve first, then into a regular sleeve – it's like a fortress for your cards!
