I managed to downgrade a game once! Had to dig through forums to find a specific version's manifest ID and then used the Steam console to force download that version. It's a bit of a hack and not guaranteed to work for all games, but it's worth a shot if you're desperate!

Downgrading a game on Steam isn't a straightforward process because Steam always wants you to have the latest version of your games. However, there's a workaround using Steam's console to access previous versions if the developer has made them available. You'll need to find the 'manifest ID' for the version you want, then use Steam's console to download that version. Be sure to back up your game files first!

Short answer? You can't really. Steam doesn't officially support downgrading games. Your best bet is to look for community guides or tools for the specific game you're trying to downgrade. Some communities might have saved older versions of the game files that you can manually install.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
