You can save videos directly to your phone by using the 'Save Video' option on Facebook, but you need an internet connection to watch them offline.
I've had great success with the app 'FastVid'. Download it from the Google Play Store, copy the video link from Facebook, and paste it into the app. Bingo, your video is downloaded!
