Got a PS3 disc? Pop the disc into your console, and it’ll install straight from there. It’s as easy as that!
Honestly, just buy the disc version. Install straight from the disc – no waiting for downloads.
I’ve been doing this for years! First, go to the PlayStation Store on your PS3, find the game, purchase it or select it if it’s free, and then download. Once it’s done, go to the 'Game' tab in the XMB (XrossMediaBar), select the game, and it will install automatically.
If you're grabbing games from the PlayStation Network, just navigate to the PS Store on your console, buy/download the game, and the system pretty much takes care of the rest. No rocket science here!
