Downloading Discord on your Steam Deck is pretty chill. First, switch your Steam Deck to Desktop Mode. Then, open up the Discover Software Center (it’s like the app store for Linux). Type 'Discord' in the search bar, find it, and hit that install button. Once it's installed, you can switch back to Gaming Mode and run Discord from there. Easy peasy!

I did it by switching my Steam Deck to Desktop Mode, then downloading Discord like I would on a regular PC. Worked like a charm!

Just use Desktop Mode, go to the Discord site, download it, and install. Boom, done!

Just FYI, I tried using Discord directly on the Steam Deck and it’s not super smooth in Gaming Mode. Works better if you stick to Desktop Mode.

Honestly, why bother downloading? Use the web version in a pinch; it's less hassle.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
