Make sure your internet ain't the bottleneck! Pause any other downloads or streams you have going on. It's like telling your siblings to get off the phone line back in the dial-up days; your Steam downloads need all the internet they can get to speed things up.

Steam's download speeds are fine. If you're having issues, it's probably your own internet connection. Check your setup before blaming the platform.

One quick trick is to change your Steam download region to a less busy server. You can do this in the Steam settings under 'Downloads' > 'Download Region'. Pick a region close to you but maybe not the most obvious choice. Off-peak hours work wonders too, so try downloading late at night or early in the morning when fewer people are hogging the bandwidth.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
