How to Download Windows 10 on Steam Deck
GroaningRush·7 months agoFirst off, you're gonna want to make sure you've got a USB drive with at least 8GB of space – that's crucial. Get yourself the Windows 10 ISO file from Microsoft's official site. Next, you'll need to create a bootable USB drive; Rufus is a handy tool for that. Once you've prepped your USB stick, plug it into your Steam Deck, boot it up, and press the Volume Down button when you see the Steam logo to enter the Boot Manager. Choose your USB stick, and voila, follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows 10. Be ready for some driver setups after installation to get everything running smoothly.

Just download Windows 10 onto a USB and plug it in. Simple but consider if you really need to first.
Honestly, I tried it, not worth the hassle. SteamOS is optimized for the Deck, and switching to Windows kinda defeats the purpose of the seamless gaming experience Valve designed. Stick with SteamOS for the best experience.
