Downpatching 'Tears of the Kingdom' isn't officially supported by Nintendo, so tread carefully! Most folks who successfully downpatch do it by finding a specific older version of the game online (like from forums or dedicated fan sites) and then manually installing it on their Switch. This usually involves a bit of tech wizardry, like using a computer to transfer files and possibly needing to 'jailbreak' your Switch. Remember, this can void your warranty and potentially brick your device if something goes wrong, so really weigh if it's worth it!

Honestly, just don't. The risks of bricking your Switch or getting banned are way too high. Not worth for any game.

Done it before! It's tricky and not for the faint of heart. You need the older game files (which is the hard part) and a way to access your Switch's file system. Then it's just a matter of replacing current files with the older ones. Definitely back up everything before you start messing with it, though!

If you're a Legend of Zelda player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
