To drift in GTA 5 on Xbox One, you gotta use a combo of speed, brake, and handbrake. First, pick up some speed, then as you approach a turn, tap the brake (LT) to initiate a slowdown. Immediately after, hit the handbrake (RB) while steering in the direction you want to drift. It might take a bit to get the hang of it, but practice makes perfect. Drifting in GTA 5 is all about feeling the car. Make sure you're in a vehicle that's good for drifting. Sports cars usually do the trick. Then, as you head into a corner, briefly press the brake to shift the car's weight to the front wheels, and then go full throttle while pulling the handbrake and steering into the turn.
