You can’t drop your backpack in PUBG Mobile, only the items in it. Open your inventory and drag items to the trash.

I’ve played PUBG Mobile a ton. You can’t drop your bag directly, but you can dump all your stuff to travel light. Just hit the inventory button, select what to throw out, and drag it off.
