Actually just tried this in a game and can confirm, hitting '4' to select the spike then 'G' drops it. Helps a lot when you need to switch up the strategy mid-game or if you're not the best at planting under pressure.

Dropping the spike in Valorant is super easy! Just press the '4' key to select the spike from your inventory, then press the 'G' key to drop it. Boom, done! Now go win that round!
