On PS4 or Xbox? No worries, open your inventory with the D-pad, select the item, and press the drop button (usually X on PlayStation, A on Xbox).

Easy peasy! In Battle Royale, open your inventory (default key 'I' on PC). Then just drag the item you wanna drop outside the inventory screen.
