Just open your inventory, click and drag the item you want to drop outside the inventory screen, and BOOM, it's floating in the ocean!
If you're inside a base, you'll need to step outside first. You can only drop stuff while swimming or diving.
Dropping stuff? Easy! Just open your inventory, pick the item, and right-click to release it. Done and dusted!
You gotta be outside of your base to drop items. Open inventory with 'Tab', right-click the item, and watch it float away.
