Editing the save file for Fallout Shelter kinda takes the fun out of the survival aspect, doesn't it? But hey, to each their own. So, you can actually find and edit your Fallout Shelter save file pretty easily if you know where to look. On Android, it's tucked away in the 'com.bethsoft.falloutshelter' folder inside your device's 'Android/data' folder. You're looking for a file with a '.sav' extension. Once you find it, you can open and edit it with a text editor, but be sure you know what values you're changing to avoid corrupting the file. Back up your save file before you start tweaking!

I edited my save file once to give myself a ridiculous amount of caps, and honestly, it got boring real fast. There's something about earning your progress that makes the game more engaging. So, think twice before you go down that road.

Just play the game as intended, folks. The satisfaction of naturally progressing is worth more than the quick thrill of cheating your way to a so-called 'perfect' vault. Plus, you risk messing up your save file.

If you're a Fallout Shelter player looking for extra caps or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Fallout Shelter essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
