Honestly? Just don't. Messing with game files can lead to a whole mess of problems, including losing your progress or getting banned if online play detects the changes. Stick to playing the game as it is, there's plenty of fun to be found without having to edit save files!
I edited my save file once, it's tricky and not for the faint of heart. Ended up spending hours fixing my game. Would not recommend unless you really know what you're doing and are prepared for the consequences.
