Easy peasy! Just press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, go to 'Profile & system' > 'Settings' > 'Devices & connections' > 'Accessories,' then select your external drive and choose 'Remove device.'

I do this all the time! Just navigate to Settings > General > Storage devices, select your external drive, and hit 'Eject.' Works like a charm!
