To get your controller working on Steam, first plug in your controller to your PC. Then launch Steam and click on 'Big Picture Mode' at the top right (it looks like a square with two arrows). Once in Big Picture Mode, go to 'Settings' > 'Controller Settings' and you'll see options to configure your controller, including PS4, Xbox, and generic controllers. Check the box for the type of controller you're using, follow any additional setup instructions, and boom, you're ready to game!

Just plug in and play, dude. Steam pretty much recognizes most controllers automatically. If it doesn't, check the 'Controller Settings' under 'Big Picture Mode' and make sure your controller type is selected. Easy peasy.

I've been gaming on Steam for years and honestly, using a controller is sometimes hit or miss depending on the game. Not all games support controllers well, so even if you enable it in Steam, the game might not play nice. Always check the game's Steam page or forums for controller compatibility.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
