Enabling Proton Experimental on your Steam Deck is pretty straightforward! Just go to your Steam Library, right-click on the game you want to play that requires Proton, and select Properties. Then click on the 'Compatibility' tab and check the box that says 'Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool.' From the dropdown menu, select 'Proton Experimental.' Boom! You're all set to dive into your game.

Just dive into the game's properties and slap on Proton Experimental under the Compatibility tab. Easy-peasy!

Honestly, I've tried Proton Experimental for a few games, and it's hit or miss. Some games run amazingly well, while others... not so much. It's worth a shot, but temper your expectations.

Don't bother with Proton Experimental; stick to the stable versions for a headache-free gaming experience.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
