Just go to Desktop Mode, install 'openssh-server' from Discover, and fire up those sudo commands to enable and start SSH. Easy peasy.

To enable SSH on your Steam Deck, you'll first need to switch to Desktop Mode. Once you're there, open up the Discover software center, search for and install the 'openssh-server' package. After the installation, open the Konsole terminal and type 'sudo systemctl enable ssh' followed by 'sudo systemctl start ssh' to enable and start the SSH service. Just make sure you've set a password for the 'deck' user before trying to connect remotely!

Enabling SSH on Steam Deck? Why bother, sounds like a security risk to me. Just use it as intended.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
