Scout out a building you'd like as an outpost, clear the zombies, and then use your Influence to claim it from the map screen. Easy peasy!
Look for a place with valuable resources like meds or ammo, clear it out, and then use your Influence to secure it as an outpost. Boom!
Just clear out a building of zombies and use the map to claim it as an outpost with your Influence. That's it!
Just stand inside the building you want to make an outpost, open your map, and hit that 'Establish Outpost' button. Voila!
